Welcome Steve and well done on your training to date.

Quite a few of my club mates have Boardman bikes now and they rave about them - ride quality and value for money.

Keep up the training and let me know if you need any other advice/tips - I'll find someone who can then help you!

Hi I'm Hugh
I'm not fit and never have been. On the ride I will be the bloke with the red face struggling at the back. Please don't leave me behind :)

I'm doing this because I once road with Andy to Brighton, which was the best motorway-bike-ride I have ever done.

I live in Houston, Texas. Which is flat. Very flat. My hill practice consists of riding up and down overpasses.
I have ridden from Houston to Austin four times, which is a little hilly but not too bad.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of you in a month.

Hugh

Ah yes, I remember it well :) Sorry about that

I remember better the ride from Kendal to the bottom end of Windermere as I kept on saying "I'm sure it's just round the corner" as it got darker and darker and wetter and wetter. I'd already forced you to go to a management meeting dressed in lycra that morning, much to the ammusement of everyone else.

Thankfully Viv was at the hotel ready with the beer and food otherwise I suspect I may have been wearing your bike round my neck.

Happy days
