This email has been sent from Mark who has asked me to put it on the form. Mark would be pleased to hear from any other patients attending the Mount vernon KC support Group. Please drop me a line and I will forward it onto Mark. Thanks Rose W

Prof Hawkins was my oncologist in Manchester and now it is Dr.Nathan based in Watford.I am now on my 4th week of the axitinib cycle and the side effects are not to bad, managable with paracetamol or sometimes codeine. My body coped well with the initial 5mg twice a day dosage so after two weeks it was upped to 7.5mg twice a day.I go back to Mount Vernon on Thursday for assessment and if all goes well the dosage could be upped to 10mg twice a day,the maximum. Two weeks after that is the dreaded scan to see if there has been any effect, always a horrible time, waiting. My wife and I spoke to Winny Nugent and she putting a meeting together on Monday 29th March which all being well i will attend hopefully to speak to fellow patients for support and assisstance if possible.

I hope this is of some use,

Mark
